There are three kinds of people in this world.

NPCs are hylics. They are entirely materialistic beings. They're completely disconnected from the Atman, or the spirit of man. They exist as the agents of the Demiurge. They have been imprisoned and bound to this material world as punishment of their sins, either from this lifetime or lifetimes prior. Lucifer (the demiurge) is the warden of this prison. Part of his job / motive is the entrapment of psychics and pneumatics, pushing their souls towards the treachery of materialism, and towards imprisonment as a hylic.

I think what first woke me up to the NPC menace was the Kony 2012 propaganda campaign a decade back when seemingly 99% of the population was posting these corny-ass messages on Facebook about saving Ugandan children. Literally none of them had ever heard of Joseph Kony or Uganda before and suddenly it was all they cared about, and they would get mad at you if you weren't showing enough concern about Uganda on Facebook. I'd never seen such a massive number of people marching in absolute lockstep before and repeating the same phrases word-for-word, and it was quite unnerving.
The Kony 2012 guy also foreshadowed the dancing TikTok nurses, too. Vid extremely related.

It's literally the worst thing to ever happen to humanity; the ONLY reason so many normies are now all pro-trans and think their confused young children should take hormones is because the iPhone spreads these mind viruses throughout the population. I was watching some awful comedy show with a friend many years back (might have been Entourage) and one of the characters said the word "doppelgangbanger." My friend laughed and said, "Adopted gangbanger," which made absolutely no sense in context. I think you are right; they don't even understand the jokes and just laugh at funny sounds.

Switched to an iPhone recently after years of being an Android fanboy. Significantly more responsive and reliable user experience for a device that my daily life depends on. iPhone will actually work when you need it, not freeze up when it gets a call or spazz out when you open the camera.

If you want to experiment with OS and customize everything, just get a thinkpad and throw Arch on it for fun at home. Don't sacrifice dependability just because of muh "better specs." The Android platform is made to run on everything, but that just means its mediocre in each use case. iOS simply works far better due to the tight integration of hardware, firmware and software.

I dunno, I don't think I've had that one (1) moment where the lightbulb goes on and I'm suddenly realizing there's NPCs out there, outside of the years of my parents going to watch shit movies because Celeb #4529087 is in it and thinking it's good by the sole fact that there's known actors in the movie.
(Still would've loved to make them watch Foodfight. I don't live that close to them anymore, and it's a pain in the dick to pirate movies at other peoples houses.)

Uh, there's also people who preorder digital games without preorder bonuses, who, instead of getting mad they bought a $60 shit game when it turns out the game is shit, they'll just play a few hours of it, never play it again, and talk highly of it whenever the topic comes up.
Even worse is when someone else states they don't like the game and for some reason the aforementioned person starts defending it.
Apple fans buying the same line of phones all the time; I've got an uncle who was absolutely baffled that my Android phone, far better than his iPhone, cost me less than 20% of the cost of his phone, and my phone's case cost 10% of his, yet when it came down to it, he bought another Apple phone, extended his overpriced contract, and continued complaining about his battery life.

Honorable mention to anyone following vax news. Everyone's opinions on it and the anti-vaxxers varies by the day, nobody questions anything, and in the off-chance they do, the media hypes up another sub-variant for a day or two and things go right back into the same cycle of fear and hate.
