Find a place that isn't getting a trolley or bus service from a large urban population. I have lived in some of the nicest small towns outside of big cities. They all go to shit when public transportation connects you to shitholes.

St. Louis area is actually insanely segregated, unofficially. The county of St. Louis actually contains like 50 different municipalities with their own police, ordinances, varying taxes etc. It's not hard to design nice white areas that are hard for blacks to be a part of because of high cost of living and aggressive policing. That being said St. Louis is pretty gay and I don't recommend the area.

Hey fellow Pittsburgher. I love in the southern suburbs, near the South Hills Village. Although I haven't been to the city since before the pandemic I always felt that Pittsburgh is the safest city when compared to other nearby cities like Baltimore and Cleveland. Just avoid the Hill District and the eastern part of the metro area. Homewood, Edgewood, Wilkinsburg, Penn Hills, etc. But even then our dindus aren't as bad as the ones on OP's list.

I live in shadyside. I hate this city more than I could've imagined. Its a rainy grayscale shithole with no redeeming qualities and the university is 75% women and the remaining men are all faggots. My lease is up in June and im moving online and getting the fuck out of this city. Speaking of hill district, I drove through there the other night and there were 3 fucking deer in the road. I thought they were fake at first. Weird city.
