It’s all about ideally constant flowing water - that’s the tricky bit. If you can’t achieve this naturally you can set up filtration systems and pumps but what happens when the power goes off?

I have settled on an aquaponics system. You have tanks of Tilapia or whatever your fav fish are. Circulate their shid n pizz to fertilize the plant beds. Plants filter the water and take the nutrients they need. You get a steady load of crop and can eat the fish when they hit 2lbs.
I can't grow a cow, but I could hide they tanks and beds in my place and grow all year. If you can spawn the fish, you can create perpetual food for your family. You do need fish food as the only input.
