The reason America dropped 2 nukes on Japan killing wasnt because they wanted to just end the war and believed in a "end justifies the means" philosophy. The actual reason they killed millions of innocents was because they didn't want the Soviet Union to be the ones who defeated Japan. If you don't know, at the end of the war with the Germans the Soviet Union invaded Manchuria and was ready to continue into Japan. The Americans couldn't sleep at night when they thought of Russians mogging their military this hard, they wouldn't be able to stand losing both Berlin and Tokyo to us. So they murdered millions of civilians basically just to suck their own dick.
The Soviet invasion of Manchuria is also the real reason why Japan surrendered. If America just nuked them and they didn't having angry Ruskies on their doorstep they would keep fighting.

Soviet Union had no means to invade Japan, amounts of landing craft and other amphibious equipment was extremely low. The real reason the nukes were dropped was to establish ZOG hegemony and punish the japanese, iirc Kyoto was originally the target because it was a cultural center of japan.
