WW3 and the real story of the conflict

I'm here to set the record straight

In 2014, Crimea (at the time an independent region) voted to officially be taken into Russia as a federal subject, rather than re-institute the constitution of Crimea, which would leave them governed by Ukraine. The vote had an 83% voter turnout, of which 97% voted to join Russia over Ukraine. The vote did not include an option to leave Crimea as an independent state, as Ukraine's government was cracking down on Crimea, and imposing it's own law. Even though Crimea was assigned to Ukrainian territory after the dissolvement of the USSR, Ukraine had (until the years prior) allowed the state to exist nearly autonomously.
>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Crimean_status_referendum
American media (with zero proof) stated that this vote was held at gunpoint, and Russian troops had flooded through Crimea to enforce their will. Note that there are absolutely zero reports (including from Ukraine) that any Russian controlled guns existed in eastern Ukraine and especially not Crimea. American politicians used the anti-Russia rhetoric and these events to impose sanctions on Russia, and proclaim that the annexation was entirely unlawful.
Ukraine, which was willingly allowing the vote in Crimea, saw that the US didn't recognize Russia's authority, and decided it would just keep Crimea. Therefore, thanks to the US, nearly no maps changed to recognize the change in territory, and those that did would simply outline the territory as a conflict zone (google maps).
As a direct result of Ukraine's decision to keep Crimea, Ukraine also cancelled the identical votes which were scheduled to happen across the province of Donbas. This sparked outrage, as this large province in eastern Ukraine was filled with people who ethnically identified as Russian, and the majority had wished to join peacefully (let it be noted Donbas is closer to 60% willing to join Russia, rather than the ~80% of Crimea).

This sparked a conflict in Donbas, where separatists movements took their government into their own hands, and fought against the Ukrainian oppressors.
>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_in_Donbas
The war in Donbas of separatists against Ukraine was brutal.
>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Lugansk-2014-06-18.jpeg
Ukraine sent in the military to defeat the "terrorists" and killed many MANY civilians. Russia supported these separatists groups (for obvious reasons), while the United States and EU called Russia's actions "warmongering", and imposed more sanctions. The conflict continued as Ukraine shelled anything that moved against them or seemed suspicious all across Donbas. This includes Malaysian flight 17, a civilian flight which was shot down by the Ukrainian government and killed nearly 300 innocent civilians. Many countries in the EU still blame Russia for these actions.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Airlines_Flight_17
The intense fighting continued until November of 2015, where many protests across Ukraine led the government to declare a final ceasefire, where politicians attempted to negotiate with the separatists. By this point, the separatists have had elections, organized militaries, and become entirely autonomous.
>Whilst the ceasefire continued to hold into November, no final settlement to the conflict was agreed

Now we can skip some more conflicts and jump to today. Ukraine has applied for acceptance into NATO, an official military alliance involving many world powers, whilst still claiming to own the lands of Donbas and Crimea. Russia has claimed to own these lands for over 6 years now, and finally stabilized the regions. If Ukraine joins an alliance with the promise of owning these lands, it will (by definition) send Ukraine and Russia into war; thereby bringing all of NATO in as well. Obviously Russia does NOT want a war with NATO (not that anybody really thinks Ukraine will be accepted) but the real issue here is that Ukraine is attempting to retake these lands, and this has already started.
The leaders of Crimea and Donbas (called separatists still by US and EU media) have ordered the civilians to evacuate to mainland Russian provinces to avoid further casualties, rather than repeat the 2014 conflict. The United States and EU understand that Russia's control of these lands is entirely justified, which is why they have not sent and will not send troops to Ukraine, unless Russia becomes the aggressor. Ukraine has just started shelling and sending in troops into these regions to attempt to reclaim them officially for Ukraine, and as of today Russia has begun sending peacekeeping forces into these regions. Conflict between Russia and Ukraine is extremely close to fruition in these regions.

It is the right of every human to live with guaranteed liberty, and any government that would threaten this right should be shamed. You can do no good by discussing modern politics without a proper understanding of the history that landed us here. Consider the past and present when discussing this conflict and understand that our media has intentions to maintain the anti-Russia rhetoric in an attempt to keep nationalist moral high. Neither side is in the right here, and whoever attacks first will be forever remembered as a horrible government.

Excellent thread, OP. Take this bump for your hard work. More anons need to see this so they can realize what’s actually going on. It’s a pretty morally gray conflict, and if WWIII comes out of this, anons need to that it has more in common with WWI than II. This shit could very well be the collapse needed to take down ZOG. There just needs to be the right people in the right place to get the people off their feet.

attempts to fill Any Forums with real information don't often succeed. But if we don't try to inform, then what's the point of this board at all?

thanks, I've seen far too many people sticking with nationalist instincts rather than seeing the truth of the conflict. I felt I had to try and set it right

Page 8. bump. I'm sick of these fucking kneejerk "WAR! WARRRRR!!" hapooners screaming from their rooftops. bullshit fucking BUMP.

I agree with you, we are weeks if not days away from seeing the russian government officially recognize the autonomous "separatist" republics in Donbass
Hohols are not gonna like it, not one bit
Losing 1/4 of their territory without a fight?

>the russian government officially recognize the autonomous "separatist" republics in Donbass
Bro, they've already done this actually, check other threads.

They've actually already announced they recognize these regions as entirely autonomous.

The true shame here is the poor civilians of these regions, who've been tormented by conflict for many consecutive decades, are once again being eyeballed like fresh prey by two large military forces.

Thanks for sharing OP

>real information
God, how I hate keyboard warriors.

>we are weeks if not days away from seeing the russian government officially recognize the autonomous "separatist" republics in Donbass
They literally just did. Like a few hours ago. Putin gave a speech and everything. That’s the reason this thread exists.
