That thought came to mind recently and it didn't bother me, which is depressing taken into the context of my life. I doubt I'll ever be able to afford or create the circumstances required to be a father. The price of living is getting ridiculously high even in the lower middle classes. That also limits the scope of your cope, hobbies are becoming too expensive to start. I'm sort of shifting mindsets now, it's more about being there to sort through the rubble and help out how I can. That would be an honorable life.
