I am here to express my concerns on enacting the Canadian Emergency Act. The Canadian Emergency act could only be invoked through a situation of at least one of the four types of emergencies; a public welfare emergency, a public order emergency, an international emergency or a war emergency according to the canadian government website.
In a public order emergency, Justin Trudeau CANNOT use an emergency order to handle or establish regulations for a lawful advocacy/protest.
Justin trudeau is not allowed to use this emergency act because of two critical situations that have not been met:

2. Seriously threatens the ability of the government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada

The protest is family friendly and many people bring their families such as women, elders, and children. The protestors even set up a bouncy castle for children and food stands for participants. It allows Canadians who are concerned for their charter rights as well as bring their families to participate in the restoration of their future.
The second point does not stand because the protest DOES NOT threaten the sovereignty, security and integrity of Canada. In fact, the goal and aim of the protest is to preserve and uphold the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. As citizens of Canada, we have the right to see proof and evidence through transparency and accountability to the declaration before ever contemplating the suspending of rights to Canadians. We as Canadian citizens and residents of Canada do not consent to this declaration of emergency.
