Did anyone see John Oliver's segment today? He cracked down hard on all the myths and debunked concerns about Critical Race Theory with hard evidence. It surprisingly made a lot of sense. He cracked jokes about Joe Rogan, Desantis, white parents at school board meetings and how it's all a republican agenda with no valid backing. I'm more centered in my politics but this was the most informative breakdown on CRT I've ever seen. Even Tucker Carlson was seen on the show not knowing what the definition of CRT was. Do you agree with what he uncovered here in this bombshell report?
He unironically makes good points on a ton of issues like tobacco and civil forfeiture. It's definitely worth a listen, he completely debunked CRT

The problem with CRT is that it envisions a world in which racial disparity in criminal justice outcomes MUST be the result of the system itself and not, you know, the actions of the criminal individuals therein. It serves to excuse crime committed by certain groups by implying they had no choice under the social framework they inhabit. But this view is reductive, especially as it negates the agency of minority groups altogether. Implying "you (specific) people can't help but be locked up because of a racist system" essentially frames minorities as powerless within the system - which only serves to make them feel more justified in "lashing out." It certainly doesn't address the underlying social problems that make inner cities virtually uninhabitable - it just creates a white scapegoat to justify the decay.
