American media only cares about the Russians getting uppity again. Since they refused to join NATO they don't really care about Ukraine.

Honestly I don't see Biden ACTUALLY going to war because that would be widely unpopular even among his own party
That said, 24 hour media coverage of "Russian atrocities in Ukraine" would basically shove stories about inflation and anti-mandate protests off the airwaves
As well as allow him to declare any sort of major right-wing protest like a US version of the Canadian trucker's protests as "Russian-funded destabilization efforts" and crack down on them
And quite likely allow him to take "emergency measures" to "protect the midterm elections from Russian influence"
So basically he gets a scenario where he doesn't actually send any American troops to Ukraine and risk that potential political backlash but is still able to magic himself into getting wartime powers by creating a narrative about any dissent being the result of a hostile foreign power destabilizing the US in a "new Cold War"
Because their current administration is a failer and a quiet-ter,they run six months ago from a ten years worked smokescreen just to be trapped again between admit stupidity or go full victim complex.
The real conflict at Crimea (just a few years part of Ukraine) is for water
