The idea has been suggested and tried several times apparantly.
It unironically seems like a better idea instead of letting Kurds and Arabs take over the region in the future by demographic replacement.

How the hell should that happen? Their languages are different. Religion is different and both sides are too fanatic about it, except maybe for people in large cities like Athens/Thessaloniki and Istanbul/Constantinople. As a greek I get along very well with turkish women (in germany) and also with some men, but I don't think that the people in these countries will.
