What I understood from this film is that you can mistreat your wife, cheat on her, be an asshole, as long as you leave an alpha male impression then this woman will be marked for life and will only remember the good times and will be in love for life.
This is a masterpiece of course, Kubrick was a genius
>Be woman >See a poor man that appears as an alpha at a gambling place in France (or Switzerland I think) >Marry him and piss off not just your family but your entire extended family >Son fucking hates poor man's guts for bringing shame and low cunning to the family's title >Poor man attacks son infront of family and guests at an event like a nigger >Son decides has to get rid of this poor faggot because he's bringing shame and spending like fucking crazy >Wins the duel even though the poor man missed >Finally kicks him out of the family and England The moral of the story is, never let a woman take hold of power, lest you want your son to clean up your slop. Women are the niggers of genders.
Levi Gray
I'm correcting you, it didn't seem for even a second that Lady Lyndon hated the poor motherfucker
She was under his control all along
Lucas Lee
the story was actually about how nigger-like irish people are.
Jace Hill
Kubrick was a jew kiddy fucker and that movie was shit.
You need to go back to r3ddit, you midwit retard cocksucker.
Aiden Bell
>Wins the duel even though the poor man missed you completely misrepresented the most iconic scene in the fucking movie. the son's gun misfires, barry discharges his gun into the ground, and the son, like a jew, decides to take his next shot anyways. the moral of that particular story seemed to be the perils of raising another man's son. at least that's what always stuck with me watching the film. also this:
Aaron Allen
Funny, because it’s you jews who have nigger blood, jewmutt.
Bentley Collins
>What I understood from this film is that you can mistreat your wife, cheat on her, be an asshole, as long as you leave an alpha male impression then this woman will be marked for life and will only remember the good times and will be in love for life. Your understanding is just slightly wrong It's because you do all those things that you're considered alpha material by women Holywood have insight on the mind of women that normies can't fathom
he's not wrong about the basic premise of the source material -- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Luck_of_Barry_Lyndon the premise of the entire story is basically "you can take the monkey out of the jungle but you can't take the jungle out of the monkey" but for the irish.
Thomas Rodriguez
This. Stanley Kubrick was a satanic worshipper. All his movies should be burned.
i divorced my ex wife yet she still clings to me hoping to get back with me while i m having another child with my new GF being the alpha is actually the way to go
Jack Barnes
They were never really in love, either of them, what are you talking about? Did we watch the same movie? They were both doing it for wealth and status. That's how it was in the 1750s. Without a husband her estate was in jeopardy, and without a title Redmond Barry was just another soldier/peasant
This too. How they could weasel their way into the upper class but not control themselves (aka like a nigger)
Connor Cook
That's my favorite film. the real blackpill here is that the world it depicts is dead and never coming back.
Matthew Rogers
>Schubert’s Piano Trio op.100 is now playing in your head
Joshua Phillips
>will only remember the good times and will be in love for life.
Yeah but his step son shoots him right in the leg and sends him back to live with his mother in shame.
OP didn't watch the ending and is clearly underage.
Juan Adams
It is probably Kubrick's best movie. Extremely well made. Cynical take on everything. The war scenes are among ones I remember the best. How they set the stage like it is a sporting event where men just get killed and no one gives a shit about how little sense it makes.
Zachary Morris
Checked. Why was there so much male kissing though? Was that common back then? Or is Kubrik a fag?
Isaiah Thomas
kiss me my boy, for we shall never meet again
Carter Flores
what a dumb nigger
Thomas White
>This is a masterpiece of course, Kubrick was a genius that nigger's one of my fav directors and i even met his wife and brother in law/producer at a book signing
fyi literally none of his movies are original
every single one is based off something someone else wrote
you should really be crediting william makepeace thackeray for this one
Kubrick's just really really good at making movies out of really really good stories
In the book, he cons her into marriage and she hates him, but turned out she did develop a genuine attraction to him What people don't see about this movie which changes its whole meaning is that Barry is an unreliable narrator. In the book, he's retelling his whole story from his prison cell. Who knows what is embellished and what has any truth to it ie right away his says his little Irish family can trace its royal lineage back thousands of years - he's a fraud One great thing Kubrick did was the casting of Barry. One common criticism I see about this movie is that Ryan O'Neal is a shitty actor and held this movie back from being a 'perfect' masterpiece. But as a fraud, O'Neal was perfect for the role as a commoner placing himself in fantastic situations and high society in his fake stories
David Thomas
you retard the point of the movie is that no matter how successful you are, you will never be welcome into the british establishment as an outsider.
