Why don’t Americans have an entrepreneurial spirit anymore? It used to be that most people were go-getters and wanted to start their own businesses. Now if you ask any zoomer or millennial, all they talk about is how much they’re oppressed, how they’re all part of the “working class” and need the government to protect them so they can get paid more and have job protection at their favorite corporation. They want to be perpetually working and living as a wageslave instead of taking initiative and building something themselves. What caused such a big change in American culture in such a short amount of time?
Why don’t Americans have an entrepreneurial spirit anymore...
>Start small business
>(((Government))) puts you on the streets after few years by changing some regulation or pushing lockdowns for a flu
Gee, I wonder why people aren't entrepreneurial anymore?
well. some do.. like Elon Musk. It's hard to start your own business and make it work because it's always super high risk. And you need a really good idea that will be profitable, and most business ideas are flat out stupid. Also the rise of mega corporations makes it hard to compete with their scale.
So then why aren’t they fighting against government regulation instead of begging government to regulate even more so they can be secure in their wagecuck jobs working for Amazon and Starbucks?
Both parties deepthroat corporate cock and would never repeal restrictive regulation in anything more than a performative or temporary way
Because many customers these days are niggers and annoying douchebags. Back then customers felt close and relatable like a friend or family member. Everyone feels foreign like a stranger now.
Because the costs, bureaucracy, and lack of community make maintaining a business very difficult bordering on impossible. This is before we even consider the biggest issue which is competition with companies like Amazon and Walmart who don't pay property taxes, get massive tax breaks, have their employees pay subsidized by welfare, can crush you with volume and for the grand finale, spend ten years running on investor cash while generating negative profits to put you out of business. The West is fundamentally broken at every conceivable pillar of society and it can't be fixed. Its going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Hope you stock ammo and canned goods and have a nice chubby wife.
>lie about living in car and being poor on TV
>living off family money
Lmao
I’m not talking about becoming a billionaire. I’m talking about the average small business owner who has a shop or provides a service to his community, or maybe has a moderately successful small chain of restaurants. This used to be a common thing in America, but if you ask any high school student today, none of them will say they want to do this for a living.
Pretty much this. Little kids can't even start up lemonade stands anymore. They have been shut down by the cops.
Communists pretending to be mere leftists decloaked worldwide once the conditions were right for the next stage of global revolution.
Short of a full on civil war, nothing will unfuck this country. Not to mention the economy is SHIT right now. The plandemic was literally geared to destroy small businesses and allow corporations to steam roll and form an unholy alliance to suck up every last crumb of realestate and buisness that they killed
Where the fuck have you been for the past two years?
>the average small business owner who has a shop or provides a service to his community, or maybe has a moderately successful small chain of restaurants.
these things will work but you really have to provide the service at a good price, since there is always competition. I think it was easier in the old days as there was more room to charge higher prices. These days, margins for a lot of businesses are so thin and rely on scale. Also like I said.. you really have to come up with a good idea and a unique service that has not been provided before. If the plan is just to open a shop and sell things, people will just buy them online for cheaper usually. A restaurant is probably a better idea but even then, you have to watch your prices and deliver good food consistently. It's hard.
>tattoos
into the trash
My gen-x parents recently started a home-construction business with a shit ton of backing only a few years ago and they can barely turn a profit with how bad the expenses of it are. Now are considering shutting it down. So no, it has nothing to do with Americans losing their “entrepreneurial spirit” but rather old money kikes pricing out the goyim cattle from being able to compete with them, and it was the boomers who let this happen.
Americans have been tricked into wanting others to provide for them rather than providing for themselves. Even those who do provide for themselves have been convinced that the best way to do that is to work for someone else. Fewer and fewer people have the ability or the will to make a business for themselves.
I don't think boomers were born yet in the early 1900s when the immigration laws were changed to allow a massive kike influx.
this is true, too. A business has to have a pretty big 'bad times' fund to be able to weather all the things that can affect a business.. from supply chain issues to just regular economic recessions. I think one can create a business that "barely survives"... but it's hard to make enough money at it to really be different than working for a large company. Also you have the risk of it failing, and bankruptcy, and liability, etc. It's easier just to work for a larger company.
Endless red tape. Why would anybody start something?
Rich people made it expensive to start a business
>be big companies
>at each y you got a 5% discount on x
>buy in massive quantities because massive demand because you're cheaper ,pay less x per y
>be little company
>pay full price
>not a lot of demand cause not cheap
>business out
>big companies take your sector
+public contracts etc
U need at least 250000 cash to start a business and housing prices doubled in 5 years in Canada so nobody has money u less they're in bed with bankers
I make childrens toys and it sucks trying to find places to sell my shit. The real reason communism has won is that the only things allowed on shelves are Chinese made garbage. I have to either sell at events or find local stores that will maybe buy $500 worth of stuff. Etsy charges almost 25% with all their bullshit fees so I have to charge more online and in general I guess people don’t want to buy kids toys any more. It’s really stressful and I may not be able to afford to keep doing this and support a pregnant wife and daughters.
>but if you ask any high school student today, none of them will say they want to do this for a living.
High school students don’t care about future endeavors. They just want to party and get laid. Its been this way for decades.
