"The photo of a veiled woman on a poster promoting "Women's Month" with the logo of the city of Nantes is controversial: "It's a political fault, an attack on secularism!"
The councilor (LR) of opposition to the municipal council of Nantes rose up on the networks for the use of an image of a veiled woman on a poster promoting the "Month of the Woman". This campaign, launched on the initiative of the association "Well-being and solidarity", takes a photo captured for the project "Visages des Nantaises", an exhibition presenting the portraits and journeys of Nantes women, launched in 2021.
"Promoting the veil is a political fault, an attack on secularism. Not one euro of public money should serve communitarianism", declared on Twitter, the senator from Loire-Atlantique.
According to the Marie de Nantes, contacted by our colleagues from Ouest-France, "the display of this visual (...) with the logo of the City" would have been done "even though no support" had been given to the event. Still according to the municipality, it would be "an internal error".
This one evoking the use of a logo of the city not corresponding to the visual charter used by the community. "This visual should never have been printed and pasted on these panels", detailed the first deputy, Bassem Asseh on Twitter, in response to the elected LR."
Nantes is a lost French city, Brittany (Bretagne) is full of leftist cucks.
One initiative of association has to be solidarity
