In the mobile operating system iOS 16 users will no longer be able to set the background images themselves - Apple reported that for the average owner of their phones, this feature was too complicated. It will be up to the OS itself to decide what "wallpaper" to set.
Contrary to the expectations of observers, the background will not be chosen based on user preferences, but solely at the discretion of the manufacturing company.
"Studies have shown that most users of Apple products experience psychological discomfort when they find themselves forced to make a decision. Our values preclude the introduction of features that might traumatize the customer or seem too complex or ambiguous - which is why today we are pleased to introduce a revolutionary technology that frees users from unnecessary actions and allows them to focus on what really matters," according to the press release.
It's not yet known whether older versions of the operating system will get the innovative feature. Apple engineers are working to make the latest technology available to as many device users around the world as possible.
Is Apple jewing people out of basic mobile phone features and calling it an upgrade again? Justice for the Headphone Jack.

Same. Might be a default option but there's zero chance that normies would buy crapple if they couldn't put their dog/wife/daughter there to shove it in everyone else's face.

>they removed the headphone jack so users wouldn't accidentally suffocate on their headphone wires

'No, you spoke to a customer last week and you deviated from the approved speech. Who the fuck do you think you ared to be making up words to explain things when every word is a potential minefield of legal ramifications that you can't even comprehend. Just do your job, read out the text that the computer tells you to, and don't add words in, you're not a fucking linguistic scientist like Chelsea Clinton are you? Do you think you know better than Chelsea? Just get out of my sight and don't do it again or you're fired and it's back to the toxic chemical factory for you.'

They'll make it an optional feature and normalfags will pay money to change their wallpaper. The secondary market for computers is also scheduled for destruction, engineers are pushing for every piece of hardware to receive a token, making it impossible to use parts from prebuilt computers with aftermarket hardware. Phones that are built to not have backdoors will eventually be prohibited cell service providers the same way ISPs don't allow customer modems/routers. Eventually anyone who gives a shit about privacy will avoid using smart phones and modern computers for anything other than e-mail or web browsing. I feel like we've peaked hardware wise, they are entirely focusing on putting all this unnecessary overhead in place for backdoors and hardware/user identification.
Lol Yeah that last part caused me psychological discomfort

I can't fucking believe this shit. What's next? What's worse is that we're forced to share a society with these NPCs.
>setting your own wallpaper is too difficult for the average Apple customer >*looks at average Apple customer* I believe them. I don't believe their bullshit excuse story about psychological perturbance from having to make a decision, that's just ridiculous. Having experienced Apple users struggle for an hour to find one setting in Apples own stock menu however... It distresses the Apple user greatly to do anything on her own.
