Because the CIA like the rest of government are self serving. There is never a time when the government will operate in a way that is actually beneficial to anyone other than the organization. That is why Congress always creates more laws and increase taxes or shift the tax burden around
The CIA is not working for the people who fund the organization the tax payers. The CIA will do whatever it takes to justify its reason to exist and ensure future budgets. The CIA will lie and push for war to complish those goals. Again the same is true for all of government and that is the reason I hate all of government
