If you live in a large city, have you taken the bike-pill Any Forums?

>cheapest mode of transportation besides walking
>fastest mode of transportation for short journeys (< 5km)
>makes you healthier, one day of cycling adds one year to your lifespan
>less moving parts means less chances of breaking down
>if you DO break down, parts are cheap and easy to change, even on the go
>no insurance fees
>no fuel fees
>no extra taxes
>no license needed
>no regulations
>don't need to respect traffic rules

If you are an urbanite there are zero reasons not to own a bike and use it for your daily commutes
>But what about muh cargo space
get a cargo trailer that you attach when you need it. For daily stuff, a panier is enough.
For the one time every five years you need to move large furniture or stuff just get it moved by professionals or rent a truck.
>But what about muh comfort
shut up pussy, health is more important
>But what about muh kids
If they're too young to have a bike, you can carry them in a trailer or on child seats.
If they're old enough to have a bike, give them a bike

More people on bike is good for everyone
>Good for residents: less noise, less pollution, safer roads
>Good for drivers since there is less traffic
>Good for cyclists since more of them means more infrastructure for bicycles

Be a true fascist, take the bike-pill.
Also, electric cars are a false god. If the demo-rats actually cared about the planet they would invest in public transit and bike infrastructure. Look up lithium mining, it was never about the planet.

if you live in a large city, your bike pill has already been taken.

>what's a bike parking
lmao stupid nigger can't even park his bike

always use a U-lock. the free-cable types that you can wrap around the frame and wheels are easy to cut or freeze to break the locking mechanism. big cities have 100 bike thefts per day at least.

Not in low diversity cities. By "large" I'm sure the OP means something reasonable like 300k population, not fucking NY or Chicago

God hates cyclist

i find it hard to believe people as stupid as you are real.

Paris is fine too.
I never got my bike stolen despite high levels of diversity.

I have indoor parking inside my building, and my job has indoor bike racks in their parking lot.
When I go out with friends I can usually park at underground car parks which are mandated by law to have 5-10 car spots turned into bike racks where I can lock my bike for free.

spandex cyclists =/= bicycle commute enthusiasts

I rode my racing bike from Vancouver Canada to San Francisco down the coast highway in 76 in 8 days. I'll never ride a bike again. Chink women in cars and Sikh truck drivers have made it all far to dangerous now. You want to be inside a steel coccoon when you're on the road.

Please don't post poorfag bikes here, you dirty african immigrant. This is a Dura-Ace and above board.

"Cyclist incendent on the road" cured my racism. Because he is worse than a nigger or hohol.

>parts are cheap
I wish I lived in your world. These semenslurpers charge a shitload for everything here. It's cheaper to import the shit myself and pay the absurd shipping fees.

I've lived in San Francisco and am currently living in Pittsburgh and the one thing that makes both of those cities VERY difficult for bikes is that they both feature insanely steep hills. Pittsburgh isn't as bad as SF overall but it's got some hills that are just as if not more steep than SF.

When I lived in SF I built my own bike from a bike shop/co-op thing that would let you frankenstein your own bike together from spare (mostly junk or salvaged or donated) parts that they had if you bought a membership or volunteered like 8 hours of your time. I did the latter and built what was essentially a mountain bike that could not handle the hills of SF. At one point the cheap plastic gear shifter snapped off. Then I moved down to the LA metropolitan area and bought this beautiful blue Schwinn hybrid for like $200 and was really excited to ride it but never once did. Ended up selling it for less than what I bought it for, sadly.

Now in Pittsburgh it's freezing cold for half of the year and I can't imagine biking outside. I bike at home on a stationary bike, just put together a recumbent bike so I could bike more comfortably while playing video games. Maybe when the weather breaks I'll get a bicycle for riding around the park with my gf but as far as practical every day use goes I won't really use it; I work from home and rarely go outside. When I do it's to pick up food and a bike wouldn't be practical for that because the food is either not going to carry properly on the bike, it's going to get shaken up, or it's going to be cold by the time I get home with it.

I was bike-pilled until I got hit by a car last year. I made it out okay but I'm not feeling very enthusiastic about the bike pill.

Just buy a scooter ( I mean the automatic motorcycles) and you're better off.

I'm literally about to throw an XTR crankset and casette in the trash because its m960 generation and doesn't match the color of my Fox fork. You mad?

>be me
>have bolt cutters
>???
>profit

Nah, I don't care anymore. I live in the middle of nowhere now, so driving is actually fun again.

>bicycle commute enthusiasts
All bikers are fags. Skate or die.

Sounds nice. I live in California, so I share the road with 2-4x the amount of drivers that the roads were designed for, who are almost exclusively Mexican and Central American, and frequently drunk. I can't even get a job to earn enough money to leave because of "diversity" requirements :^)
(please kill me)

I ride a fatbike up frozen riverbeds for miles, it's kinda cool because nobody ever has done it. Then you hear tree knocks and weird raven calls. Then you hear howls like nothing you have ever heard before. But the really wierd thing is you aren't a fucking massive retard and recorded clearly the whole thing on your fucking phone.

bicycles are for little girls.

you arent a white man if you dont have a large engine.

did someone drop a tree branch on the bike line? KeK

Yeah, understandable.
>auckland went from a city of 400,000 with a single critical 4 lane bridge to a city of 2.2 million with a single critical 6 lane bridge
>the government committed to building a cycle bridge/path across that bridge 10 years ago
>issued PR and press about it for 5 years straight
>still haven't even started planning
>there is no legal way to get across on foot or bike, it's either sit in traffic for an hour (no joke) each way, for a distance that would literally be faster to walk, or pay 4usd each way and sit in traffic for an hour each way with a bus anyway
>or pay 20 dollars each way for a ferry
The infrastructure was all designed for a town of 200k, and it's serving 2 million, and the chinks and lebs just keep streaming in. It's all so tiresome.
