Why are people against an EU army? Just look at the current Russian threat. 300,000 Russian super soldiers at the border of Ukraine trying to get in. And what is the EU doing? Sending a few thousand observers hundreds of kilometers away from the frontline.
A free Europe needs a common army. This common army needs to have a common language (English), capable equipment and a common military command structure. And it needs to be deployable quickly. The US could send 400,000 US soldiers to invade Iraq and find Saddam's yellow cake. The EU must be able to send 400,000 EU soldiers to Ukraine within 48hrs to be credible. And it needs tanks, jets, aircraft carriers and thousands of nukes on ICBMs.
When will this weird opposition to a common EU army go away? It is seriously the only thing that will keep us free.
