>Blinken accepts invitation to meet Russia's Lavrov late next week >U.S. Secretary of Antony Blinken has accepted an invitation to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov late next week provided Russia does not invade Ukraine, the U.S. State Department said on Thursday. >Blinken said earlier on Thursday he had sent a letter to Lavrov proposing a meeting next week in Europe. finance.yahoo.com/news/blinken-accepts-invitation-meet-russias-012907067.html
But they can't even be diplomatic without the disgusting doublespeak >provided Russia does not invade Ukraine >further invade They're so fucking grotesque. Biden can't decide whether the invasion will happen yesterday, today, in a few days, in a few weeks, or never. Anyway what are the implications of this? Did Putin fake out NATO, or was NATO fear mongering to make Biden not look as retarded as he is?
>happening canceled AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA YOU FUCKONG FUCKS THE FIRST TIME SOMETHING ACTUALLY FUCKING INTERESTING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN
If Biden agrees to halt NATO expansion, Russia will hold back. If Biden refuses to do this, the bullshit will continue
Xavier Nelson
Even an extension on no Ukraine membership would be a win, just kicking it down the road indefinitely achieves their goal. I think they'll use talks in the Donbass as a piece of leverage in talks over Ukrainian NATO membership.
Benjamin Russell
I see no reason why they would choose to kick it down the road. They have leverage now
Without NATO, Ukraine will never be able to come close to matching it militarily.

So?

So by pushing it down the road the achieve their goal. I don't think the neolibs would ever agree to not allow a country into NATO. I think Ukraine needs to make that agreement with Russia to end the Donbass conflict.

What if Lavrov kills Bllnken with a chainsaw what then
Kayden Peterson
This is bs. Ukraine has expressed no interest in joining NATO recently and even if they were to it would take over 2 years and require them providing membership fees first. It's not gonna just happen in 2 weeks. This is all a lot of horse shit so they can violate your rights and commit crimes against humanity in order to buy a new yacht.
... who's rights? Biden could end this tomorrow by placing a moratorium on new NATO memberships. NATO should have been disbanded in 1991 anyway
Jaxon Torres
Haha
Kevin Perez
That's not what I'm claiming. They either make that agreement or get invaded. NATO already said they're not coming to save them militarily and if they actually try to join NATO they'd be invaded instantly. Russia's in the driver's seat and they'll either solve this militarily or diplomatically and I think Russia would rather do it through talks.

Who cares about the rain in UK
Carson Nelson
Yeah, talks with the USA not fucking Ukraine
Kevin Brown
> I think Russia would rather do it through talks.
I think Putin has had enough of talking personally. I believe if he had it entirely his way they’d invade to effect regime change in Ukraine. But he’s got the oligarchs in Russia to contend with in terms of his internal position and they don’t want to be hit with western sanctions, the sanctions Russia got for Crimea and the donbass situation weren’t personally targeting Russian oligarchs and their dealings in places like London the next set if they further intervene militarily in Ukraine will be. And there’s lies the issue I think.
