Why did media become so homogeneous and boring. It used to be edgy and rebellious, and now it’s all just copy pasting CNN articles into documentaries.

It's been like this for decades at a minimum. Eventually you just start noticing. I've went back and looked at and read older stuff and it's like seeing it with new eyes once you're aware of the game.
Louis Theroux used to be a legitimately respected journalist. This "documentary" only served to prove that he is an absolute biased hack. I didn't know any of the people he interviewed and they all came off as either fun-loving kids or future leaders. He just kept calling them racist nazis.
