Radar stealth is not the same in every direction. These ships are, presumably, designed to be stealthy from the side, not from above. There's a reason stealth ships have slanted sides; to avoid presenting right angles to enemy radar. The flat roof parts could be at right angle with an overflying spacecraft and at those angles it would be extremely easy to see on radar.

stealth capabilities only work when the f-35's own radar is turned off. Otherwise you can track the origin of the f-35's radar signal.

So F35 is good for sneaking into enemy territory and then delivering a surgical strike and getting out?
So if it came to a large scale amphibious invasion, where there are swarms of enemy boats and aircraft, of a horde situation where the defending Airforce needs to be spamming missiles taking out all these enemy aircraft and enemy ships, then the F35 is pretty much useless?

Yes, it's far harder to achieve a lock on F35s. Throwing f16s and f15s at a S-400 installation would result in far higher losses than a strike with F35s. I think the F35 has a lot of issues, considering it is a designed by committee money hole, but it would have an upper hand in combating technologies specifically developed to take out G4/G4.5 aircraft. In a conventional war, it would finally show a bit of justification for its existence. In a war against a bunch of sandniggers with at best 80s era surplus, it's wildly overkill.

f35 doesn't really excel at anything, it is not as shit as people make out, no doubt significantly better than China's gay Fisher Price toy jets, but it's hardly some game changer that will make the Chinks sit up and reconsider

Pretty sure Iran ran wargames and lost to mig-29s. Still unsure of the J-20 but from what I am reading it can't beat an F-18 its radar and missile tech ain't up to snuff.
