Fun fact, more people die a year of coconuts falling on their heads then from attacks from Pitbulls. This is an actual statistic by the way. Also the majority of Pitbulls that end up attacking people or either stray dogs or dogs that were previously owned by criminals who trained them to attack and kill people. Some of the Pitbulls statistic probably comes from them being the dog of choice for bad people and also from Pitbulls making up a majority of street dogs.

As an owner of two pit bulls and two as a child I can sort of backed us up, Pitbulls are very selective of who they expect as their group. In my experience all of my dogs have been very sweet and extremely protective over the people in my family but pretty much everything and everyone outside of people I know well and that are at my house frequently my dogs treat with extreme suspicion and sometimes hostility. Also pits in general are extremely aggressive with other dogs but that’s just something you deal with the breed. If you have Pitbulls you just don’t allow them around other dogs it’s that simple. I like it though, and intentionally going out of your way to kill dogs because they’re part of a certain breed you don’t like is kind of pathetic and cringe

They are animals, they’re not a lab or golden retriever that can just be pushed around. It’s the same with the Doberman and Rottweilers. Treat the animal with respect and assemblance of proper care and common sense awareness of safety around strangers and other dogs. Banning a type of animal on the sole basis because some people are stupid and a handful of the animals or sometimes aggressive is dumb and would be the same as banning people from owning pythons because too many people in Florida releasing them into the wild
