so what's the scoop? Are the cops going to descend on the protestors tomorrow? How are they going to execute their plans? Is there even a chance of success given the number of trucks?
Been reading the Emergency Act and the Orders and Regulations that were set out after the Act was invoked. They all say they only come into force on the day they were registered. So, presumably, donating to a protest the government doesn't like is only illegal after these things were enacted. Still I don't think there is judicial review of these emergency power things, so shit could get pic rel. Best to take out as much cash as you can for now in case things get arbitrarily frozen/seized.
To those not in the doxx: still a good idea to get your cash out. The rules are written very vaguely and could be used to arbitrarily persecute almost anyone involved in any politics the government does not like.
Alternately if you're native, a refugee or one of the various specially protected minorities, you are exempt from much of the restrictions on protesting
