>Tesla's self-driving technology is slammed as 'flawed' by experts after car owners' videos showed vehicles steering into oncoming truck, failing to stop for pedestrians and hitting roadside obstacles
imagine being turned into a vegetable because Elon Musm was too busy working building his mansion on Mars to worry about Tesla

For once the (((experts))) are correct.

The magical AI is just 10 more years away guys. This time for sure!

Legally, who will be responsible for the deaths due to self-driving vehicles fucking up? Because I guarantee they will, just as much as humans do. Will the builder be responsible? The buyer, for trusting the builder? The passenger?
humans can't live in space, or on the surface of mars, which might as well be space. in fact even if you assume we can correct any atmosphere, and pretend for a moment that internal planetary phenomena don't even exist, cosmic radiation will kill all inhabitants of mars within a few months to years -- venus would be safer. the sun floods us in a protective blanket, a fast river of radiation that is balanced against our own magnetosphere. and this can never exist on mars.

every problem can be solved by an engineer and enough time/money
i know it's a hard concept for a nigger to understand
Julian Green
I doubt he is building a mansion on Mars to live there, it's more of a bunker to get away from humans.
Blake Phillips
Self driving is a harder problem than they were willing to admit. Also people are overselling AI in its current form assuming it will just grow exponentially more effective and just solve all problems for them.
Hunter Myers
The thing is if every car is on the same script then you can probably get 30% more cars on the road at the same speed. Without the accidental traffic jams caused by human error. Its inevitable that the larger cities force it. Theyll just charge anyone who wants to drive themselves some large fee. Or regulate self driving to a single lane.
Its just a matter of how long a good self driving solution takes. Which again could take longer then any estimate.
Daniel Morales
Eventually self driving will be safer than human drivers from an insurance standpoint and insurance companies will cover it because it's cheaper than paying out claims for human drivers. I think musk will actually make a company focused on this in the future. Legal/insurance.
