Not true. Late Gen X ('75 - '79) Grew up with computers as kids. We were the only ones in the house that knew how to use them. Anyone who's parents knew how to use them were based boomer software engineers that helped teach us how to pirate shit. You actually had to understand how a computer works before point and clicky days.

Gen X is heavily segregated between early and late. I was born either last year of gen X or first year of millennial depending what date you use and share way more with millennials than I do with most gen Xers. The gen Xers before me played atari while we had NES, SNES, GENESIS, NEO GEO ect. When we turned 13 PS1 and N64 just came out so we were set for our highschool years as well. PC gaming got really big during the mid90s with games like DOOM and Duke Nukem, Civilization, C&C, Warcraft 2, Starcraft ect. What a time.
