was just reading some bullshit about how giving japan the nuke business wasn't "necessary" and it was a "war crime" etc by people who didn't realize we'd have otherwise bombed the shit outta them and would have pressed the land invasion anyway anyway, what's your thoughts on nuking japan in ww2?
The Japanese were crazy and they needed to be put down. It was necessary
Carter Powell
Nukes ain’t real.
Luke Adams
I support it Gooks deserve death
Elijah Sanchez
it was actually debated for a long time.. the politicians were hesitent.. the scientists who worked on the bomb said HELL NO, and the military generals were like..let's fry the fuck out of that place because 1) japan drew first blood and 2) an invasion could cost a million us soldier lives. Overall.. it had to be done. Japan would not surrender easily and had to be stunned into submission.
Alexander Diaz
You should've sided with Germany and Japan to begin with instead of waddling in to save your kike masters.
Nathan Rivera
to scare the bolsheviks
Nicholas Thomas
another point about it was that as the war was ending, Truman (US prez at the time) wanted to show Stalin what we had. Not in a 'friendly' way but in a way to keep Stalin in check or starting a new war. Apparently though.. there is some historical views that Stalin already knew we had the bomb somehow.
Jordan Peterson
>japan drew first blood you guys were directly funding and participating in the war long before japs attacked and nukes, due to their radiation do not abide to the laws of war yet you still got away with it
Logan Martin
Clearly wasnt enough.
Juan Murphy
So because we didn't want to fund Japan's conquest of Asia meant that pearl harbor was justified?
Easton Murphy
Japan would have destroyed themselves resisting a land invasion. They were a fierce fighting force and not prone to surrender. Look at what happened to Germany and then think about what would have happened if the germans all fought to the death and the civilians killed themselves instead of getting captured. The atom bombs saved so many Americans and Japanese its hard to believe anyone could think it wasn't neccesary.
Jason Evans
>it had to be done Showing you really had a working A-bomb, yes. Dropping two of them on population centers, no.
Camden Collins
My kind of coffee
David Reed
totally shitty take.. america at that time did not want a war after WW1... we were dragged into it. Russia is just lucky we didn't nuke the shit out of it after the war.. since whoever had the atom bomb at the time (only the US..no one else) could have damn near wiped out the entire world.
Henry Bell
Yes, now welcome to the Chinese century fucker.
Lucas Barnes
It wasn't a war crime. War crimes are what the winners charge the losers with to humiliate them further, and the USA won.
Angel Ward
I agree it was for the best, I know if we did invade, the Soviets would of had time to invade the North as well, and we would of had to split Japan as well. Dropping the bombs had the added bonus of showing off the new weapons to the Soviets, which was most likely the real reason we dropped it. A warning to the Soviets as by the end of the war the US/Soviet cold war was beginning. Any advantage early would be worth it. Sadly the people of Japan would be used as the example but they were the enemy.
Jaxon Myers
That's a dude.
Aaron Harris
they were military targets.. but the bomb was so big there of course would be casualites. Also.. a demonstration would not have been enough to make Japan surrender. Maybe now in these current times, but not the Japan of the 1940s.
Charles Bell
>usa nuking japan 1. Nukes are fake. 2. The only people that give a shit about this are fucking beta faggot weebs. Even the Japs dont give a fuck about it.
Daniel Richardson
Okay boomer, but I don't give a shit that ZOG beat japan 70 years ago. It benefits me in no way and I don't feel any sense of pride over it because once again nobody in our current generation has benefited from this or any ZOG victory EVER. So, I don't care.
It was a necessary crime. Things should have been different long before Japan even considered declaring war on the USA, so as to prevent that necessity however. But hindsight is 20/20 and everyone has to live with the fact that america made a strategic decision.
Aaron Rivera
every dead gook is a good point in my book
Jackson Thomas
Chinese nothing. They can't do anything right. Even when America is in their weakest globohomo state, they still can't beat us
Jacob Cook
Should have accepted their surrender, then nuked another city just for good measure.
Colton Moore
>Apparently though.. there is some historical views that Stalin already knew we had the bomb somehow.
He knew. He had spies in the project. That's how Russia got their own bombs so quickly.
Benjamin Gonzalez
No rain, no rainbow
Ryan Russell
>america at that time did not want a war after WW1... we were dragged into it the amount of ignorance is amazing you really need to look into this more since even a gypse trash from a 3rd world shithole knows more about it than you
James Perry
Japs were ready to surrender. The deep state needed a brand new weapon to brandish to the world to show their superiority so they kept prolonging the war until the bombs were ready, and then they unleashed it.
How? By pushing for unconditional surrender which they knew Japanese Emperor would never accept due to their culture.
The Japanese Military Staff were not ready to surrender at all, They were ready to go down fighting. It took the Emperor being told of the Atomic bombings to help end the deadlock between the parties that wanted to surrender and the ones that wanted to fight till the end
All personal anecdotes from Japanese people living during the war had described how themselves and the entire country were genuinely willing to die for the emperor The nukes were definitely better than an invasion that would not only cost the lives of more allied soldiers, but 10 times the amount of Japanese that died in the bombings Anyone saying otherwise is a dumb contrarian
Nathaniel Lee
No one in the entire world has to lift a single finger to fight the US when it's been exsanguinated and collapses in on itself after a century of being sucked dry by the jews
Angel Butler
Stupid. There was no need for any of it. Japan was without fuel, navy or air assets. There was no need for further attacks.
Putting down fags like you is even more necessary.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hirohito_surrender_broadcast >Moreover, the enemy has begun to employ a new and most cruel bomb, the power of which to do damage is, indeed, incalculable, taking the toll of many innocent lives. Should we continue to fight, not only would it result in an ultimate collapse and obliteration of the Japanese nation, but also it would lead to the total extinction of human civilization. >Such being the case, how are we to save the millions of our subjects, or to atone ourselves before the hallowed spirits of our imperial ancestors? This is the reason why we have ordered the acceptance of the provisions of the joint declaration of the powers.
Do you really think that if they were dropped on uninhabited areas (especially since the Japanese authorities did not know immediately that the bombings were not conventional), that they would have had the same calculus? Get real.
Xavier Perez
>There was no need for further attacks.
Joshua Evans
It would have been enough. Two bombs on a more remote military base or factory town and the threat that the third would be on Tokyo would definitely have been enough. The Americans wanted to observe the effects on a city.
Gooks are Koreans. Most Japanese would agree with you.
Samuel Bennett
It was a shame we had to do it. No one who understands the destruction felt good about it. The people who invented the thing had to live with it. War or not, being responsible for over 100k deaths is too much to bare. Japan was a formidable opponent and we did what we thought was right to end the war. Japan came out of it and rebuilt in a way only the Japanese could. That's my copium, tho.
Jason Reed
This is the reason why whenever someone asks "if you could nuke any country, which would it be?" I always say Japan. Not because they did anything to deserve it recently, but just to prove the point that we aren't sorry about the first two times either.
Owen Howard
Great opinion. It is totally not retarded and based in reality
Robert Martin
The bomb needed to be showcased to the world, regardless of japan's willingness to surrender. The japs were chosen to get rekt and so they did
Blake Ross
This is what western propaganda machine told you to believe to draw your attention from the fact that your country had bacome a successor to Nazi Gemany. In reality Japan was staying in war because they wanted to retain the lant they conquered in Asia and hoped the Union would broker on that part as a neutral party. That hope was lost when we declared war on them and defeated Kwantung have never done due to having no land forces, and that's when they decided to surrender. The bombings were the worst war crime in history and their only purpose was what said.
Christian Lee
That retarded arugment again?
"I had to do attrocity A because otherwise I would have to do attrocity B, which is even worse". It's a false choice. Just blockade them. They can't do jack shit
Kayden Harris
Seeing what they did to german cities, a nuke was the more humane option. They intentionally threw their humanity out of the window when it came to germany.
Aaron Rodriguez
And? Who cares? How could they threaten the USA? Were they going to swim across the ocean with their katanas?
The USA could do literally nothing and there was nothing Japan could do. No further attacks on US soil were possible.
Jacob Rivera
Wrong, you should have nuke the commies on mainland. Kys ZOG.
Jaxson Garcia
>they just wanted to keep the land they stole from their neighbors after committing horrific atrocities such as rape of Nanking
i dont know if you realize but what you just said is an argument FOR nuking them. The shit they did to those they conquered is cartel tier, on a mass scale, and they never even apologized for it nor did many of the people involved face any justice. The Japs reaped exactly what they sowed for their crimes against humanity.
Noah Wood
that shit was badass
Alexander Brooks
nuking them pacified them like nothing else could.
Nolan Smith
Unfortunate but necessary. Better than continuing fire bombing and an invasion.
