Now that wasn't the only fishy thing about the virus. It also had another inside, a "furin cleavage site" (FCS), a very weird one because it additionally got a genetic "switch" which controls if it is active or not attached to it. Don't find that in any other Coronavirus.

BLAST gene comparison doesn't really return any other good natural source for this weird FCS. However, if you get the funny idea (which I sadly didn't back in the days) of doing the BLAST comparison not with natural organisms but with a database of artificial genetic sequences you'll get a perfect return for the code of this FCS ... a patent filed by Moderna in 2018 for a synthetic switchable FCS gene supposed to be used in cancer research.
