>media pushes EV cars
>car manufacturers play along
>millions of boomers rejoice
>charging network only caters for 6 people
>omg why are drivers killing each other?
Did anyone else predict this?

One time a guy cut in front of me at the gas station during hurricane evacuation where gas stations were running out of gas, I nearly beat his ass
Anyone mildly sentient identified the massive lack of infrastructure.
It's definitely a worrying aspect of the whole thing. I may be hanging onto my hybrid for a long, long time, given how quickly all these fucks are switching to EVs after Biden said to.
I mean theoretically we could build up this infrastructure pretty quick, but I have zero faith in Biden and modern American government to actually build something quick.
I bought a EV cable to charge my camper van batteries for emergencies and it made me realize what a scam EV charging is. My shithole Canadian city is now bringing a flat rate charger costs to all city owned ones. So all the free ones in the area are permacamped
They make announcements,it's highly unlikely that they will actually go anywhere.
They want a piece of the Tesla stock price valuations
Electric engines moved by fuel cells are the real future. Hydrogen fuel cells are dangerous, but ethanol fuel cells are even safer than gasoline cars, and nobody would have to build a completely new infrastructure for electric cars.
Nissan already has a working car with this tech. My only fear is that governments steam roll any different tech like this flooding battery electrics with subsidies
Why does everyone want to add extra steps to energy exchanges?
You people are fucking retarded
Kek imagine owning a car that only cant run diferent fuels.
...biodiesel ...
If the goal was simple economic and efficient solutions this would already be used.
My orb doesn't work
Cut the charger heads off.
Electric engines are simpler and still have a lot of room for improvement.
The argument is environmental though, and if that's the case then fuel cells are better. In a fuel cell the ethanol isnt burned like in a combustion engine, it's chemically processed to become hydrogen that feeds the electric motor.
It pretty much only leaves water behind.
What a gay looking bug wagon
I'll take a fuel guzzling muscle car thanks
if you had a van pod, could you live out of that with free electricity?
lmao i so unplugging every electric car i see from now on its not even a crime they cant even do anything about it
if they come for me ill play retarded and say i though i saw smoke so i unplugged it
top kek
>grazing e-cars
kys mario
this is everyday life in russia
This is why this is happening. Please let people know so they can be prepared. Electric cars are a joke!
Only niggers and chimps actually believe in man-induced climate change. My truck running regular #2 diesel is the greenest mother fucker on the road right now. Especially after disabling the emissions equipment.
You don't think I don't want this do you? Cause i do. I want my truck to run off of old transmission fluid, grease, ect. Finding someone who can make that change is fuck hard.
>The argument is environmental though, and if that's the case then fuel cells are better. In a fuel cell the ethanol isnt burned like in a combustion engine, it's chemically processed to become hydrogen that feeds the electric motor.

so it's a hydrogen fuel cell in the car and you fill in hydrogen?
Brazil----Sugarcane---Ethanol----Fuel cell
yeah that makes perfect sense for you but not for the rest of the world.
I don't think you actually realize how much infrastructure would actually be needed. Imagine if every gas station that existed had people charging for hours instead of filling up for a couple minutes. Considering that gas stations get clogged up despite it only taking a couple minutes to fill up a tank and charging an EV car takes 10x as much that means you would need 10x as many charging stations as there are gas stations
you can buy charger locks so people don't unplug your shit
most of the world is on unnatural levels of consumption and needs mineral mining to sustain them
People don't realize that for their eutopian fictional future to exist where everyone drives an EV car you would need plots of land the size of farms filled with charging stations. Hypothetically imagine an EV car takes 10x as long to charge as a gas car takes to fill up (its probably longer) and gas stations already end up with lines of people waiting to fill up you would need 10x as many stations for EV cars as there are gas stations.
You're talking about literally mile long parkinglots near highways with charging stations at every parking spot.
You fill it with ethanol, the car turns this ethanol into hydrogen to recharge the small electric battery.
You can make ethanol out of fucking everything. Even corn, which is what the US does. Brazil imports ethanol from the US.
its easy friend just search in youtube "conversion a gas lp" or "adaptacion a etanol" and some mechanics teach you how to modify your engine to run on diferent fuels or search for a prepper mechanic.
>You fill it with ethanol, the car turns this ethanol into hydrogen to recharge the small electric battery.
really? that's pretty amazing
what is the efficiency of this like?
The entire point is to make it affordable for only the top 5-ish percent to drive themselves like people do today. You’ll be forced to take mass transit, and that will only be available in major cities.
>what is the efficiency of this like?
Imagine a circle jerk
I live in the Texas Hill Country and they just installed eight Tesla fast chargers in a parking lot on the edge of Johnson City. So if you’re stuck in Austin without a place to jack in, motor on over to Johnson City! No waiting :)
This Nissan prototype in particular was doing 20km/L filled with ethanol, a few years ago.
But the idea is that these cars can use different sources as fuel cells. Including natural gas. So the efficiency will probably vary
btw., the nazis worked on coal liquefaction because germany doesn't have much mineral oil
corn is way less efficient at producing ethanol than sugarcane. are we really going to choose food or energy?
feeding niggers or fueling your car, tough decisions ahead
Car for the elites, negro bus for you.
Their plan for 2030. Their solution to the energy crisis.
if it were only that simple kek. maybe we just send you our niggers to work in the sugarcane fields
apparently these home EV chargers are a big security vulnerability, as people often buy cheap ones with shitty hackable firmware
They don't give two shits about charging infrastructure. They WANT you to charge at home, and have that be the only option. That way you don't travel too far.
You get to go to work, and go home slave. No more driving cross country. Travel is for the ruling class, not the peasants.
This is what happens if you put a bunch of EV chargers in an area filled with Mexicans.

hahaha lmfao
Don't forget wood gas generators
