I don't see the problem here. An employer cares about his bottom line, not how many days you have off. Thinking you'll get more time off without it coming back to bite your paycheck (even so-called "paid" time off) is shortsighted. Having no mandatory paid time off (but still allowing unpaid leave) is best since it gives more power to employees over their earnings. A good employer will encourage you to take vacation every now and then anyway for mental/physical health.

I work for a mega corp because thats what I need to live comfortably in Ireland and I hate it. They give a lot of paid leave. But I'd rather go to America and join a company that I can negotiate with, and if it's a small company, I'd be happy to not get nearly as much paid leave because I'd get taxed way fucking less than this commie hell hole.
