What is causing inflation in the U.S. to be worse than nearly every other developed nation?

A mostly free market economy that allows businesses to jack up their prices as much as they want. Big businesses and corporations are making more profits than ever - which just mean they're taking more money from you than ever. Not hard to figure that that's causing inflation

Corporate America has never had a more profitable period than the past year. The inflation is real, but only a small part of price increases. The majority of increases are in place because corporates know people will blame inflation, and they can pocket the extra profit.

Keep running cover for the feds printing 40% more money Moshe

Market isnt free anymore. Thats why these assholes can jack up prices.

>no venezuela
Hmmm

Someone who gets it, though there’s never been a completely free market in history (to my knowledge).

It's little more complicated then that. If you are running business. You know prices are gonna rise. You rise your own prises too.
But when rises are too fast. You tend to rise your own prices more at one go. So you dont need to jack it up constantly.
This in turn creats inflation loop. Where prise that you rised is now causing that inflation.
Put yes. Corporations did Jack up prices too much and are making fist full of money. But real test how greedy these cunts are is just coming. Do they increase prices more in 2022. Or do they keep prices steady, becouse they don't need to rise them. Thus cooling off inflation.

Lesson number one about inflation, just because the guy on top said it was low, doesn't mean it was low.

>doubles the money supply
>currency inflates
Hmm oh me oh my what a ponderous mystery we have

Yeah good point, I read about the similar Wage-Price spiral which can get out of control if central banks aren't dilligent investopedia.com/terms/w/wage-price-spiral.asp#:~:text=It is essentially a perpetual,-push" origin of inflation.

US in beging was free. But becouse US didn't have enough capital. It needed goverment control to build that.
Generally market isn't compleatly free. Simply becouse goverment choses winners. How goverment spends its money is form of control and it gives privileges to some individuals.
In west post 2008. Market has become less and less free. Simply becouse monetary police. Its almost impossible to big old comppany to fold and really hard to compete against established comppany.
They have unlimited credit and almost zero intrest rate. They can keep using hard cash to keep competition down. If that dosent work. They just buy it.

Yes. Hyper inflation is thing for reason. Same goes to deflation. Art is to find balance. That's why early intervention is preferable. So things don't get out of control.
Is it better that prices increase 10% and economy collapses or prices increase 2% and economy still collapses? Espesily when modern monetary policy won't let deflation ever to happen

haha boomer money printer go brrrrrrrrrrrrrr

M2 increase + reserve currency status

For TRUMP printing 40% more money you mean?

This is the same cope that communists tell themselves
"true socialism has never been tried" = "a true free market has never been tried"

Inflation is fun, you can start it by printing money, but once it truly starts you cannot stop it without some really good tricks.

SILVER ENDS THE FED Frens

Stock up on as much silver as you can, while the US government is using the USD to back up its power. That silver will be worth 50-100x what youre paying for it now.
