My ideal political system would produce enough resources so as to be able to feed people unable to work, but you don't get to reproduce either for obvious reasons.

Yeah that one hits the feels, probably because I don’t want my parents to ever have to deal with that burden—the hope to raise a child but to have to look after him until the grave. I simultaneously do not want to pity the physically disabled. If anything they’re a testament to human persistence

I agree, its kind of fucked if they don't have a functioning sibling or younger family member that loves them; unfortunately we live in a society where personal feelings determine your loyalty to a family member. I volunteered with them throughout high school so I think I have a soft spot for them as a population - they can genuinely be useful and "thoughtful" in a sense, at least the more functioning ones.
