I think it explains what happened in last year and now pretty well and it also explains why the war wont happen. archive.is/lkt8F
>The Ukrainian government hailed the new administration and set forth a platform for the return of Donbas and Crimea. Then on April 3, 2021, Ukraine’s military announced on Facebook that military exercises would be conducted with five NATO powers in Ukraine’s eastern regions later in the year. “In particular,” it said, “defensive actions will be worked out, followed by an offensive in order to restore the state border and territorial integrity of a state that has been subjected to aggression by one of the hostile neighboring countries.”
>Russia’s callup of reserves—which both now and in April was interpreted by U.S. intelligence as reflecting plans for a gigantic invasion—was in direct response to these three important developments: a startling new demonstration of the effectiveness of drone-led offensive operations, a new U.S. posture toward Ukraine-related issues that was far more aggressive than Trump’s, and the declaration by Ukraine’s military that they were working on a plan to drive the Russians out of the occupied territories. When Biden said in December that the United States would not commit forces to Ukraine in the event of a war, it took the legs out from under this plan.
>The United States now vehemently denies that there was any idea of retaking the Donbas by force and that this is an invention of Russian propagandists. From the outside, it is impossible to know how far these plans advanced and how seriously they were taken, but to say that the Russians had no basis for thinking that something was afoot is clearly absurd. What is the explanation for the April 3 Facebook post by Ukraine’s military? Were they the unfortunate victims, like Joy Reid, of a malicious hack? If the Azerbaijani war had no military significance for the Donbas, why did the Atlantic Council argue that it did?
I think that if Russia wanted to attack Ukraine, it would try its best to ridicule assertions that it wants to attack Ukraine, and at the same time, the leader of Ukraine would also be against such threats because it makes investors pull out of the country

>The cleverest feature of the administration’s approach is that, when there is no war, Biden and Blinken can claim that it was all due to them and their solid statesmanship. Deterrence has been successful! Our firm leadership made it so! Approval rates break under 40. When will IR fags learn that the American constituency doesn't care about foreign policy
>if Russia wanted to attack Ukraine, it would try its best to ridicule assertions that it wants to attack Ukraine That's a really poor argument because if Russia didn't want to attack it would also ridicule those assertions. Clearly not the evidence we want to base our judgement. That's certainty an argument against the possibility of war.
There likely wouldn't be a Ukraine Crisis under Trump. Trump wasn't a big fan of NATO or the EU. This entire conflict started because NATO made a proclamation over a decade ago that Ukraine and Georgia would become NATO/EU members. Putin specifically said that either of these two countries becoming part of the Western Hemisphere would be a direct threat to Russia (which it is). This is why Putin invaded Georgia in 2008. Putin attempted multiple times to have tri-lateral agreements between the EU, Ukraine and Russia. The EU declined any negotiations. The Democratically elected president of Ukraine was overthrown in a Coup in 2014 and since then, EU/NATO puppets have been put into the position. The Western Ukrainians are getting ballsy because they think they can become another Greece or Spain to the EU.

There will be no war. Its all a grift to "sell" weapons to Ukraine.

I didn't read the article but I can assure you my cock is bigger than the entire male population of America combined To get some perspective, I've been jelqing from the age of ten and have achieved massive gains that the human brain can only start to comprehend God himself cries when he sees the abomination I have created

>it wouldn't act like it does But does it? Current buildup can be explained in other ways other than preparations for attack. Like arguments in OP. >and it wouldn't make geopolitical demands Yeah, but are those demands actually new? If you go back to Putins 2007 Munich speech its basically the same thing. What's new is that instead of asking for it, they started to demand it. I interpret it as frustration with US unwillingness to include Russia into European security, not a threat to invade.

You Serbs are fucking intolerable little Turk mongrels. I hope one day we fuck your shit up.
Wyatt Brown
Well his feelings are understandable as your country bombed his civilians with nuclear munitions and many thousands of Serbs still suffer cancer due to nuclear poisoning.
Gavin Gomez
How likely is the US to attack on it's own or stage a false flag in Western Ukraine to use as a pretext for starting the war? Heard there was a "huge explosion" somewhere in Ukraine or the Donbass already but I know no details on the matter.
Nolan Ortiz
And we’ll do it again. Serbs are scum.

when you shot your soldiers and your allies in the back because of dumb, you are proudly calling that "friendly fire". Wew what an amazing great nation you are, probably still jealous because you have no kings and queens with the exception of the burger king.
Ryder Sullivan
You should’ve followed Montenegro. Now, I hope we steamroll your shitty nation.
Ethan Brooks
Nah, they're alright. Depends how much US gain from false flag. Its risky and doesn't guarantee that Russia invades still, because any tragedy in Donbas will be scrutinized as a potential false flag. I think what's likelier is they will go with: >hey we prevented invasion with our scary sanctions and kickass hardline diplomacy and Putin got nothing And have their pet media propagate it.
Christopher Sanchez
The West has nothing. If the suicide cult wishes to die, let them try to do so and get what they asked for. In the meantime, it's important that we all unite worldwide to battle the Zionist, Satanist menace.

I don't think it's to provoke a response from Russia, but more so to give themselves an excuse to send their own military (and NATO forces) to the Ukrainian - Russian border. There's a variety of reasons for why the US is desperate for war. See the screenshot in this post:

When NATO flags fly over Belgrade, I’ll come visit, drink your Slivovitz and fuck your sisters.
Parker Evans
Yes but surely Ruskies will have to invade if NATO says ok bro you can join to Ukraine?
Otherwise the NATO missile shield to intercept Russian nukes goes another step forward.
