I connect with his show on a level I havent experienced b4. From the characters like Artie and all the other greats. The whack pack like riley martin. Howard understands me and his listeners. My favorite thing he does that O&A never did was he puts it all out there even his secret lifestyle people know about. He's a dirty jew bastard or how riley martin puts it the "golden jew" but Howard wears it proudly and doesn't hide from it. I don't see any issue with video games if it doesn't interfere with life. I mean, what makes it fundamentally different from books, movies, etc. or art? My mom loves fantasy, but went through a period of disillusion where she said "what am I doing, I'm just living through other people's imaginations." But there's so much you can take away from a story. And I think the same is true of games, or at least can be.

That's where I get aggravated with this kind of mentality, it applies things like "childish" arbitrarily. I see the normalization of gaming being a natural development based on (a) they're fun; (b) they're available; (c) they're increasingly in-depth and advanced, e.g. a lot of young children would not be able to fully appreciate or understand the lore of Skyrim for example. Why wouldn't adults participate in something that's enjoyable and has no negative consequences to their health? And in our system, that means big corps are going to get involved and basically ruin the whole thing which is what's happened / happening.
