Immigrant communities not assimilating into a dominant culture will replicate their home culture. Where the home culture is sub-par, then the results will also be sub-par. TLDR we need to give greater support to immigrants to make our communities thrive, or make wealth floors for immigrants to ensure they assimilate better. We can't half ass the solution like we do now.

Diversity of thought brings about stronger ideas. Diverse perspectives generate a diversity of thought. There just needs to be better support for diverse views.

Think about the most successful immigrant communities. Japanese and Koreans. What made them successful? A work ethic and a willingness to become like Americans, with the motivating factor of racism to prevent folks sliding back into existing in highliy insular communities.
