Does anybody here personally know someone who's received an exemption? I know the numbers are tiny. I assume the only exemptions are officers or otherwise some sort of hugely critical people.
AF if it matters, been in purgatory for months.

I doubt they'd give an exemption to someone new anyway. I got out last year before the mandate dropped, but even at that point, they had begun severely limiting the options of the unvaccinated. They used my being unvaccinated as an excuse to make it so I couldn't go on transfer leave to find a job or a place to live. If my contract had a few more months on it, I would've been "undeployable" due to the lack of vaxx. Still know a bunch of people that have applied for religious exemptions, but no approvals yet.

Last I had heard, this is the case. They won't accept a new enlistment if you tell them you won't get the vax.
