Biden's phone call yielded nothing new. He has threatened Russia with severe consequences should they invade Ukraine, which is something Putin already had on his table. At this point Biden and his cabinet should just accept themselves as warhawks because never before there has been such a miserable attempt of peace coming from America. For the blood-thirsty american it is a matter of unconditional desire that Russia must perish because of a false nation that was created in a moment of russian fragility.
It is clear America is not in this because of Ukraine, but because they must destroy Russia at all costs.
This is not a move that can be explained by diplomacy. This is driven solely by a need to keep pumping money into the economy when the FED has ever less justifications for this after printing more than half the dollars that have ever existed during the Covid QE3s. Considering how Russia is an ideological (conservative authoritarian nation), political (only real threat to american hegemony in Europe) and financial (Russia has an active interest in changing the global currency paradigm dominated by the ever more devalued dollar) enemy, it makes sense to push a massive war out of this.
It is America — and not Russia — that is starting this world war. Americans want this conflict, they've put no effort into stopping it and have reiterated today that they shall fight it.
Ukraine could be the Danzig of our time. Often times great leaders and diplomats can find solutions were inferior ones can only create destruction.

There could have easily been a peace settlement today. Yet the USA used its final opportunity to negotiate only to repeat itself and insist in violence. It is like the democrats did this only for show, as if it made sense geopolitically to start a new european war over a country trying to join an US-led alliance.
I cannot explain this conflict through a foreign policy perspective without saying it is an act of fatal incompetence from diplomats and politicians. This is what makes me lean to this belief that there is some hidden motive for war that is not immediate to those observing the situation.

well from a practical point of view, if a war was going to start they would wish it was as extensive as it could be, because then more countries would participate and several fronts would form, the worst scenario would be that it's a limited one contained in a specific area without a spillover effect, then it would probably be only in ukraine and most european countries wouldn't want to commit to it so that it doesn't escalate to a wider confrontation
