I payed over 40k dollars for a shoulder surgery I had to have at 18 or I would have had almost no use of my arm after. It crushed me financially so hard that I spent most of that year homeless. How do I cope with our fucked system? I just got lucky honestly, I eventually got a good job and make well into 6 figures and have good healthcare but it was some skill/hard work and some luck that got me here, this system will absolutely crush and destroy anyone it has a chance to. America is fucked. You dont have a $100 deductible. No fucking way. Usually its about $2000. You have to pay the first $2000 each year for your own medical care, and also your monthly premiums, which can be 500+ a month for a family plan.
