prophecy is a funny thing
its not really mystical or magical at all
I think more often than not, it comes from an esoteric understanding of the cyclical nature of the evolution and devolution of consciousness, and the patterned manifestations of the ever changing states therein
when you have those cycles and patterns down, when you understand them and how they manifest
you can easily forsee the general outline of the future, even thousands upon thousands of years in advance
you won't understand the manifestations in a detailed manner, because due to the randomisation component within reality they will always look different with each new manifestation, but fundamentally on the deepest level will conceptually be the same
the problem is that people, out of fear, try to translate prophecy in such a way that they can understand the future incoming manifestations in detail, so they can prepare specifically for those manifestations, or perhaps even circumvent, or adapt to them
but this is impossible, you can't know, you can only understand the overall state of consciousness and the overall types of manifestations they bring into being
this is why, fundamentally
many prophecies are on some level wholely accurate, like bible prophecy for example
but why they're so open to misinterpretation and so commonly misrepresented
its because they were never meant to be taken literally, or in a way that allows the reader to accurately visualise the physical fulfillments of said prophecies
they're merely meant to denote general outlines of the state of consciousness and how the manifestations therein will appear to some degree
and how in turn those who are open to perceiving these things can prepare themselves psychologically for the incoming changes so to better advance consciousness even during these cyclical stages that bring about much destruction
