it's mostly to raise money for the America First Foundation which is supposed to fund candidates later this year during the 2022 midterms. vince james said he's gonna run for something in idaho, i'm assuming he'll use funds from this nonprofit.
at $150/$200 per ticket (say $175 on average) with ~1,200 tickets sold, that's over 200 grand for primaries.
