DARPA’s N3 program has six teams. Battelle, Carnegie Mellon, Johns Hopkins, PARC, Rice, and Teledyne. Out of all of these, Battelle’s BrainSTORMS is the most successful. It consists of a system whereby small magnetoelectric nanoparticles infiltrate neurons and are then activated by a grid of electromagnets via EMR, just like a Wacom tablet. Basically, they want to create wireless brain-computer interfaces without having to resort to a craniotomy and electrodes, like Neuralink (which is far more invasive and than N3 and substantially more primitive).

Because of rising populist unrest in response to the growing wealth gap and young people missing basic life milestones like getting married and buying a house, the powers-that-be believe they are entitled to directly manipulate people’s minds to make them accept the status quo of downward mobility and deindustrialization of the West.
