Well, Macron is also going all in fro wind and solar energy.
Also, he's a tool. He's the one who dismanteled our nuclear energy company, selling the technology to the US for cheap (and making some big money for himself and his friends by doing so, it's one of the biggest scandal there is and yet no media dare to speak about it, and he did the same with a lot of our biggest companies). Now he's trying to buy back everything at a loss. He's the one who also shut down some of our reactors, and was fully anti nuclear just a couple years if not months ago.
He's only changing his mind because it's the presidential elections.... Because energy prices are high, because some of his competitors are very pro nuclear, because with covid and everything everyone saw that we need to be more independant... It's nothing more than that.
