Why does everyone in the middle east hate them and vehemently oppose their independence?

No idea what flag that is, I'm a burger
Because it doesn't exist, it was a LARP made up by the British that went too far
The flag is similar to India.
>LARP made up by the British
>flag
lol
Don't they have their own separate language and culture though?
Probably because they are the smartest people of the area. And it's human nature to be envious or hate people who are better, smarter, richer than they are.
I’m Assyrian. We should both have our own countries, but kurds should have their own country not in Iraq or turkey or syria. Has to be in Iran or Afghanistan, where they came from
I hate fucking Kurds, they were very disrespectful when I bought a "gyros" in Hungary. I have never had a proper gyros in Hungary anyway. Kurds should at least sell kebabs but honestly they should just fuck off from my country. Only greeks can make a proper gyros from pork or shitty chicken. I hate chicken.
You flag looks like a Haribo Happy Cola fruit Gummy, you better shut the fuck up.
Not every ethnicity in the world needs its own independent country, Kurd nationalists are just whiney bitches
Not as much as "Kurdistan" is
Have you seen how large the area they claim is? I'd be pissed too if a minority claims ⅓ of your country as their own.
Fuck Kurds.
It has more legitimacy than arab non-countries. Reason why people hate them is because many countries would have to give up territory for them.
Kek
Their independence movements are all leftists.
absolut kek
I hate k*rds so much it is unreal.
>Because it doesn't exist, it was a LARP made up by the British that went too far
That's basically every country in the Middle East rn.
>plj halp me daddy ijrael
Serious answer since most of the replies ITT have been really bad, it's because countries always oppose independence movements that would remove their territory and power, and unfortunately Kurdistan would remove territory from four major powers, since it makes up parts of present-day Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria.
This is a meaningless statement. Countries only exist if international institutions recognize them as existing. The Kurdish ethnic group exists, and the League of Nations (the precursor to the UN) had promised to establish an independent UN, but never actually implemented the plan, and left it to the Kurds, Persians, Iraqis, Turks, and Syrians to create Kurdistan by their own will, which they obviously didn't do.
No. Rojava are leftists. They're not the only part of the Kurdish independence movement. If Kurdistan was established, I can guarantee they would US allies since they're in large part non-Muslim, and have depended on US support for so long. Because of that, they would most likely be regarded as right wing if they were established. It's very unlikely that Rojava would be given any power, since they're practically anarchists.
