Pretty sure I have tinnitus from my job, with hissing air hoses going all day. It's not terrible but I used to have extremely good hearing and I can't eavesdrop as well as I used to. I hope it's earwax build up from using q tips now and then. I measured 70 dB max. There were earplugs available but no one wore them so I didn't bother. I mean NOBODY was wearing earplugs. But then when I was hiking in the desert this past autumn I realized I could hear tinnitus more than I used to. God fcuk me. It's not like there was a warning sign up either.

I've had loud ringing in my ears, more on the left one, since I was a teenager. Never, ever goes away, never will. Take care of your hearing. There's nothing manly about being deaf early, and the ringing ruins some music, too.
