Putting blocks on major porn websites merely incentivises other websites—ones which don't perform age-checks—to spring up and fill the power vacuum. Once this was pointed out to them, they acquiesced to the saner heads who pointed out they wouldn't be able to enforce their plans no matter how much they spent.

I'm not saying your argument is wrong in every case, but there are very old families and organisations on this island, who still retain a large amount of power.
