What is left for humanity?

The brightest ideas have been thought thousands of years before our time.
The most stunning art has been created.
The greatest stories have been told over and over again.
There is nothing new under the sun.

Humanity as a whole seems like a revolving door without any purpose other than procreation.
I fear there is no purpose to anything but to try and reduce suffering for our offspring.
The inability to do so is suffering to the highest degree.

That is why no one will remember your name.
You cowering refuse of a dead civilization.
You could have been part of the rebirth.
Instead you chose to be a forgotten mourner of the past.

to end.

Even if we had a 'rebirth' of the roman empire, to what end?
What would be the purpose?
Create art? Win wars? Expand?

Not a rebirth of the roman empire. A rebirth of something new. Nevermind, your firmware is bad. You can do nothing but act out the subroutines of your obsolete worldview code.
Worldview is the beliefs we have about the meaning of life. Your worldview is that there is no meaning to life. Thus, you are unable to adopt new worldview code that does have meaning. You've uploaded a mind virus to your brain.

Do you agree that a technological abandon would be necessary for this "something new" to happen?
