So is the convoy not actually keeping anything from getting through? If there's no pressure being put on the government aside from being an annoyance to the citizens, what's stopping them from just doing nothing until the protest runs out of steam? I was assuming this whole convoy was keeping shelves from getting stocked thus forcing the government to do something.
The government has continued to double down until literal extremist measures (the attempt to starve/freeze peaceful protestors).
It’s clearly not working. Calling names doesn’t work anymore since there are too many people and the media has literally begun to shift because they’re making more money and getting more attention gritting to the right.

I am writing to you to inform you of crimes against humanity related to a developing humanitarian crisis in Ottawa, Canada; as well as to request assistance. The city, provincial, and national governments are seeking to deprive protestors of basic comforts like food and shelter, despite the -30C degree weather in Ottawa. The agrieved were in Ottawa, Canada due to violations of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
First, the government applied pressure on a financial institution to prevent funding from being disbursed to the aggrieved, preventing them from being able to shelter, clothe, and feed themselves while they were out in the cpital. Next, they have persecuted other Canadian citzens attempting to give the aggrieved humanitarian aid, by either intercepting it, or providing fines, as well as the threat of arrest. Finally, they have interefered with other humanitarian-minded agencies who were attempting to provide the aggrieved with food and shelter by preventing the agencies from doing so via coercion and emergency funding. Today the government has declared "emergency powers" and it is the fear and concern of many, myself included, that they intend to use these emergency powers to further do injury to the aggrieved party.
I strongly urge you to look into this situation and step in before it becomes a situation where innocent people are hurt.
