God is the source of all evil and misery, inequity and injustice in the universe, and it is intentional. God is a malicious force to be countered in any way possible even though God is an undefeatable force for evil.
Satan is just a garden variety angel who probably asked too many questions and was punished by being the fall guy for all the evil God inflicts on mankind and all the blessings that befall the worst and least deserving of all living beings. With Satan cast as the evil actor, God is free to inflict misery without any suspicion.
"Satan worship" is complete bullshit. People are interested in Satan because God has failed them and they cannot even fathom the concept that God does that intentionally and with malice. Satan is the only other part of the equation so in their search for relief that's the first stop. Some Idiots twist that around to think that the "evil" of Satan is somehow a force for good (for them), and that's the reputation of Satan and Satan "worship." None of that is true.
