Years ago, a large portion of the userbase would have had significant crossover with the nerds that come to the chans. You had a reasonable expectation that you could argue your point there without being shadowbanned almost instantly in all of the default subs.
Nowadays, anything left of Bernie Sanders rhetoric seems to be completely forbidden. Who does this benefit? Do you think this is helping to shift the collective overton window of many of the teens and 20-somethings that are addicted to it? Propaganda is a powerful tool and I think it'd be foolish to dismiss the idea that it's actively shaping the opinions of the normies who buy into the false in-group ideas being promoted there.
