All Abrahamic monotheism posits that God is completely Other and not part of reality. Christianity is especially strange for saying this *and* saying that Jesus is God, sure. But it makes sense when you realize they took on that belief because it was easier to convert pagans to a religion where God existed in this world as the gods of paganism did. It's actually heresy in Christianity (and Islam, and Judaism) to say that God isn't immaterial and outside of Creation (non-existent).
