Russians Restoring 19th-Century Handmade Signs On Town Buildings

The guy behind this has replaced dozens of signs in this old historic town. He went through the old documents and learned how to make paint and fonts and everything - this is all done the right way. I think this is a beautiful trend that should spread.

I was told that everywhere but Moscow and St Petersburg was a shithole

pretty fucking cool. have a bump for an original thread

Every city has an area of boring housing blocks but there are a ton of nice city centers with interesting architecture. A lot is being restored in the past few years very quickly. For some reason they struggle with paving roads - I think it's the harsh winter making it not worth the trouble sometimes.

Ahahaha amazing. It's a big chain store. But it looks different here.

Russian cities are much more interesting than expected outside moscow/st pete

Murmansk is one that really surprised me, considering it is so far north. Looks very cozy, this is just an average street nothing special. shithole status of Russia appears to exagerrated.

I would smash and set fire to all those handmade signs

This reminds me of China, but not soulless.

that's why they make you take a drug and STD test before giving visa.

Nice to find old wooden houses

the cities remind of a cross between Europe and American for some reason. the main thing is you see pretty white women all of the time on google street view

I was in Rostov last year, when I was driving from St. Petersburg to the Crimea, visiting cities on the way. I liked Rostov a lot.

I can only imagine the agony giving way to immense, insatiable pleasure as she is driven open by a truly massive BBC. Her tight cervix would pulse, massaging the sacred organ and begging for it to release its holy liquid deep into her fertile, starving womb. In an instant, thousands of generations of pure, white ancestors (and their spotless genes) would be silenced as the melanic gametes pierce her waiting egg.

that looks very nice! the southern cities look most comfy for Americans. I don't know why people live in the anthills when there are places like this all over that would be easy to make very nice.

I know as a jew you find this strange but most people over age 14 are not into weird, graphic sexual stuff. It's off-putting and strange. We do not care to hear your fantasies.

Kek. I remember there was an entire feature about how they repurposed this sign from a liquor store.

anyone can lose weight, keto/low carb is the answer.

after browsing a few places Russian "shithole" claim appears to be mostly bullshit.
