This is even objectively true.
Take a look at the people you associate with who have German surnames and Aryan phenotypes. Much of the time they behave in similar ways. They’re honest, noble, industrious, resourceful, and have dry advanced senses of humor. Behavior and race are highly coorelated.

Many were wise enough to use the possibilities of the post-WW2 Marshal plan for reconstruction. With the Economic Miracle Germany in particular became unbelievably fortunate, and a prevalent attitude of needing to right the wrongs of our nation's past means we offer certain incentives to foreigners whose homelands didn't get as lucky (hence our popularity - after all everybody loves a good redemption arc). This is currently under something of a revision because the amount of abuse the existing system suffers has been straining our capacities for years while yielding few returns, as well as probably "pampering" aid-receiving nations who don't feel like they could make as much as they now get through their own industry. But that's beside the point for now. Basically when we got our last chance we enshrined using it into our national ethic, and it mostly worked. Hence why people like to come and try their luck.
